Natalia and Avery met during their senior year as undergraduate students at NYU. It was love at first sight. Avery made sure he sat next to Natalia as they bar hopped in Greenwich Village. Her beauty instantly caught his eye and they conversed throughout the night. One place led to another and at the Rumpus Room in the lower east side Natalia said “once I finish my drink, let’s go dance!” Avery immediately grabbed her drink and finished it so they could dance as soon as possible. Quickly after they began dating.

Over the years their adventures have included trips to Peru, Thailand, and Curacao. Through many different living situations and across state lines Avery and Natalia fought to make it work.

On June 2, 2023 Avery decided it was time for the ultimate commitment. He created a surprise picnic in Central Park and got down on one knee; Natalia said yes! She did not know that both their families were waiting for them at a nearby restaurant. At the restaurant many tears were shed as they celebrated their love and commitment to each other.

After this special moment and more than 5 years of dating, they are excited to get married and start a family.
